Blu-ray Miracle
Need Suggestions for large room 5.1 surround sound?
I’m looking at purchasing surround sound on a budget of roughly $300 for a complete 5.1 setup. It can either be a HTIB or purchased separately provided everything would be compatible. The room that this will be placed in is rather large, as it is a large open area of roughly 30×60 feet (think studio apartment). The living room area that this would be used in is roughly 15×15 feet, but only has walls on the front and left side. The rest of the area is open. I need suggestions for a good, loud setup on my budget. I’m not expecting miracles on this budget, but one of my family members is deaf in one ear so it needs to be clear enough to distinguish voices and loud enough to be heard. In addition, a receiver with hdmi pass through and analog 5.1 inputs would be given preference as I have a blu-ray player with analog 5.1 out.
Look on Craig’s list in your area for something 100 amp per channel or more. Plus you should be able to hear it before you buy it.
