Bd-p4600 Blu-ray Player
Friday, August 27th, 2010Having trouble with blu ray player and television.?
I have a PN63B590 63″ 1080p Plasma HDTV and BD-P4600 (Blu Ray Player) connected with a Monster HDMI 1000HD Ultra-High Speed HDMI Cable and I can not get 1080p resolution when watching blu ray the best I can get is 1080i. I was wondering what I needed to do to get 1080p resolution.
I have tried setting the BD-P4600 resolution output to 1080p and the television can not find the Blu Ray Player (the television screen goes black and then it states a signal can not be found)
I have done as you said changed the output resolution and cycled the power on both devices but I get the same black screen with the no signal found sign.
Why do you think you’re getting 1080i? Does the TV say that’s the signal it’s receiving?
If so, check the output resolution on the BD-P4600 (Setup > Display > Resolution) and make sure 1080p is selected.
Edit: After changing the player output resolution, cycle the power on both the player and TV. They should then do the handshake correctly.
